Previous day. –
Optional to meet the other participants in the group. However if your time doesn’t allow you, you can also show up right on Day 1, day of start of your tour.
It is a day for you to get to La Paz in a relaxed way and be close to us. On this day, you will check in at the hostel/hotel provided by SAEX to spend the night. On this day, you will finalise payment If you haven’t paid it all, you will get to know your Tour Leader that will explain the group about the tour and will give all the last recommendations needed.
Day 1.-
Route: LA PAZ – LAKE TITICACA (Bolivia).
Highlights: Sun Island
Early in the morning, we will get in a car heading to the limpid blue waters of the highest navigable Lake in the World, with the Cordillera de los Andes in the background where Sun Island emerges from the depths. Stunning sunrise and sun set from your bed will be inserted in your memories forever. Accommodation on Sun Island.

Day 2.-
Route: TITICACA LAKE- LA PAZ-SUCRE (Bolivia)
Highlights: Cathedral of the Virgen Morena, Reed Boat builders
We will get on a boat early in the morning to Copacabana, after a short walk and visit of the Cathedral of Copacabana, we will continue to La Paz, on the way we will stop in Huatajata where we will meet the World famous Reed Boat Builders, responsible for building ships that crossed the oceans of the World. Our car will drop us off at the airport in La Paz. Later we will be flying to Sucre, the beautiful White City of Bolivia.

Day 3.-
Route: SUCRE WHITE CITY – POTOSI (Bolivia)
Highlights: Sucre City Tour – Dinosaur tracks.
After a great and relaxing night’s rest we will have breakfast in the colonial hotel of Sucre and embark on a City tour that will include the area of the amazing dinosaur tracks, the 5th largest concentration of Dinosaur tracks in the world. After freshen up at the hotel we will drive to Potosi home of El Cerro Rico.

Day 4.–
Route:– POTOSI SILVER MINES- UYUNI CITY (Bolivia)
Highlights: Casa de Moneda, Santa Tereza Monastery, Silver Mines.
On this day, we will visit historical places like Casa de Moneda where the Spanish empire melted the silver money and Santa Tereza Monastery. After, you will get dressed completely like a miner and get into a real mine at El Cerro Rico, rich Silver Mountain that still produces silver since the 15th century. Possible only in Potosi.Then we will head in car to Uyuni city.

Day 5.–
Route: UYUNI – SILOLI DESERT (Bolivia)
Highlights: Valley of the rocks, Green Lagoon, Dali Desert, Sol de Mañana geysers, Red Lagoon, Siloly desert.
Our 4 x 4 section starts early in the morning, we will get into a remote world where marvellous scenery hits our eyes all the time and enjoy incredible accommodation in the middle of nowhere.

Day 6.-
Route: SILOLI – UYUNI SALT LAKE (Bolivia)
Highlights: Siloli Desert (stone tree), Andean Lagoons, Uyuni Salt Lake
Early rise to head to the Andean Lagoons where we will see lots of flamingos to finally arrive at the largest Salt Lake in the World. We will sleep at the shores of the Lake in a hotel built completely in salt bricks.

Day 07.–
Route: UYUNI SALT LAKE – SAJAMA NATIONAL PARK (Bolivia)
Highlights: Uyuni Salt Lake, Meteorite crater, plains of Sajama, hot springs.
Our 4 x 4 will be exploring remote areas of the Country, we will get in the middle afternoon to Sajama National Park where thousands of llamas will be seen. After checking in, we will go for a relaxing bath in the hot springs.

Day 08.–
Route: SAJAMA NATIONAL PARK (Bolivia)
Highlights: High Andean Lakes, Llama interaction, hot springs
We will explore the park in our 4 x 4 and part of our breakfast will be some eggs cooked in the boiling waters of the geysers. Surrounded by 3 beautiful perfect shaped volcanoes we will walk for a while, we will learn something about llamas and in the afternoon, we will go for a relaxing bath in the hot springs.

Day 09.–
Route: SAJAMA – LA PAZ (Bolivia)
Highlights: Queñua forest, Aymara funerary Towers
Now we will leave for La Paz, scenery is still overwhelming, and we will have the chance to walk in the Queñua Forest, rare tree that grows only in the high altitude. On the way to La Paz, we will stop at the amazing funerary towers, old towers from the 10th century. Those wanting to try a delicacy will be able to have Charke, traditional dish made of Llama jerky.

Day 10.–
Route: LA PAZ (Bolivia)
Highlights: City tour, teleféricos.
In the morning of this day, you will be taken on a beautiful and complete City tour. You will be able to experience the Teleféricos system as well.
You will have your last day in La Paz where your Tour Leader can show you all of what you have missed on before and give you the right advice to buy souvenirs or just visit another special place in La Paz.

This is a list that we have prepared based on experience, there are some things that may not be useful for you according to your dressing style or traveling style, read the list carefully and decide what you will bring.
Some items of the list may not be necessary for your trip or on the other hand, you may need something else. Ask our travel consultant to send you a detailed “packing list” specially for your trip.
- Day pack 35 lt.
Essential for keeping little things during the day. Your snacks, bottle of water, etc.
- Wide brim hat or cap.
You will have many hours under the sun. Hat or cap are good to avoid sunstroke
- Comfortable travelling clothes.
Light and easy to wash. 2 sets at least will cover your needs.
- 1 set of casual clothes for that night out.
There will be some chances to go out at night.
- Shorts
Very useful to be comfortable at the hotel.
- Sun glasses
You will have many hours in the sun.
- Warm sweater
Always have a warm sweater in hand, early in the morning and late in the afternoon can be chilly
- Fleece
Nights in the altitude are cold even in summer.
- Waterproof/windproof Jacket with hood
Summers can be rainy and in winter if it is windy, it gets cold.
- Hiking boots
You will need them for those programmes on which hiking is involved.
- Tennis shoes
You will need them to walk comfortable, for example during City Tours.
- Sandals – flip flops
Essential for when you get a shower or stay comfortable in the hotel.
- Head torch/head lamp & spare batteries
This is very useful if your tour involves staying in the countryside.
- Swimming stuff
Bring swimming suit if your programme includes immersing in hot springs or something like that.
- 5 pairs of Socks
While you use one or two, you can have the other pairs washed.
- Underwear
4 pieces will do for your trip.
- Camera with 1 spare battery
If you use camera with battery please bring a spare battery, as some batteries are hard to find.
- Mobile with power bank.
If you use your mobile for photos during your trips, make sure you bring a portable charger or power bank.
- Toiletries kit.
Make sure you bring your especial toiletries. Toiletries in South America can be totally different.
- Wet tissues.
Access to running water can be difficult, wet tissues are very useful for when you are in a car or away from the hotel.
- Small mirror.
Some toilets just do not have mirrors.
- Small towels.
Have a small towel in hand as toilets may not have hand dryers.
- Note book.
If you like to take notes, bring it from home.
- Water bottle.
You will need to drink at least 2 lt per day.
- Alarm clock.
If you use your mobile for alarm, please adjust it to the local time.
- Money belt.
Very important to have your money and documents safe while on the streets or travelling.
- Writing stuff.
You will always need a pen at some point.
- Passport Colour photocopies.
Leave your passport at the hotel unless your guide asks you to bring it.
- Mosquito repellent for Machu Picchu.
If your trip includes Machu Picchu or the Amazon please bring mosquito repellent, At least DEET 35%.
- Toilet paper.
During car trips or in the countryside have always one roll with you.
